I should, at this point, point out that I didn’t get to professionally print or take photos of my products. This was due to a mishap with the printers I used. They did a terrible job. After talking to my teachers about the matter, we agreed that I could make some mockups instead.

Learning Activity – Packaging

I wanted a product that looked appealing to all. I wanted the product to suggest luxury, eco-friendliness, natural. My audience would therefore be dog owners who appreciate good quality, are concerned about the environment, and about the health of their dogs.

I decided to have 2 packages. One cardboard package and one glass package. This will give people the option to buy the glass one first, and then buy the paper refills when they’re done. I used my brochure as my starting point here, and just moved some of the elements around. That sounds easier than it actually was. I spent a lot of time tweaking things, rotating things, scaling things etc. It wasn’t a matter of copy and paste.
